“Fall For You” by Secondhand Serenade is just an adorable song. It is also pretty popular, coming in number 8 on the Pop 100, and number 21 on Billboard’s top 100, not bad. It is romantic but it also has a little bit of rock/ alternative in there. It is a simple song but has a lot of meaning.

My family has been really annoyed with me lately because I have been singing this song for the last two weeks, nonstop. I love the lyrics. The best one is in the very beginning, “The best thing about tonight is that we’re not fighting.” I love how the lead vocalist and guitarist, John Vesely, sings it. It almost sounds effortless and meaningful.

With the soft piano playing through out the whole song just makes it like a melody that you can fall asleep  to. But then there is a part where John Vesely’s voice hits the lyrics to suddenly make it into a alternative song. It is amazing how just the pitch of his voice changes the whole song. And he has an extremely high pitched voice, it is hard for me to sing along because even I can’t reach those high notes.

The music video is sort of lame. It doesn’t match the song, whatsoever, besides just a girl and guy in love but fighting. Clichéd.  And it looks like a couple of students made it for there tech. class, instead of a professional camera crew. And why is it in black and white? Is that supposed to make it more romantic?

Well over all, I love this song. I bought it right away. And I definitely, most positively, recommend it to you. Just watch the music video, well, just listen to the music video. It is a really good song.
