“My Life Would Suck Without You” is one of the best songs Kelly Clarkson has put out there lately. This song is on her latest album, “All I Ever Wanted.” It has a pop-rock feel to it, with its simple up-beat tempo making it easy to jam out to.
Okay, as much as I love this song, I do not agree with it’s message. The song starts with a guy by her door apologizing for saying he would rather be with anybody but her. Okay, I do not know about you other ladies, but you do not go back to a guy who says they would rather be with anyone on the planet besides you. And you certainly do not say “My life would suck without you.” That guy sounds like a loser! Your life would be awesome without him.
Since winning the first American Idol and coming out with her first CD, Kelly Clarkson has kind of disappeared, for me. Of course she has come out with other albums, but none that really caught my attention and held it. This song makes me want to check out the rest of her CD and see if ole Kelly Clarkson still has it. From what I can tell, she does. She might be coming back even stronger than when she arrived.
This song does have a music video. I don’t think it really matches the story of the song too well, but it is not bad but then again it is not good either. How many music videos are there with a guy begging to come back to his girl? Too many, so I think Kelly took a different approach and made it like they just fight a lot, but once again doesn’t really match the song.
Overall, I think this song is great! Fans of all different kinds of music genres will like this song. Little bit of country, little bit of pop, and a little bit of rock all mix into one big pot of really-good-song. Its one of my favorite meals/songs.
